# Black Friday code: 20% off everything and free shipping over $50

One code for Black Friday, Cyber Monday or any holiday that gives a percentage off everything and free shipping over a minimum spend, scheduled to start and end by itself.

**In short:** Create a code such as `BFCM20` with a 20% **Product Discount** on **All Products**, and a **Shipping Discount** with **Free Shipping** and the Per-Discount Condition **Cart Subtotal** at least `50`. Set **Active dates** so it starts and ends by itself.

**Why one code:** Shopify's own discount codes each hold one kind of discount, so 20% off and free shipping would be two codes, or a code plus free shipping you give every customer. OneCode: Stackable Discounts ties both to one code.

## Steps

1. Click **Create discount** and enter the code `BFCM20`.

2. Click **Add Discount Type** and enter `20` in **Percentage**. Keep **Target** as **All Products**.

3. Click **Add Discount Type**, set **Discount Type** to **Shipping Discount** and keep **Free Shipping**.

4. In the shipping discount, under **Per-Discount Conditions**, click **Add Condition**. Set **Field** to **Cart Subtotal**, **Operator** to **Greater than or equal to** and **Value** to `50`.

5. In **Active dates**, set the **Start date** and **Start time**. Tick **Set end date** and choose when the sale ends.

6. Click **Save discount**. It shows as **Scheduled** until the start time.

## What the customer gets

- $80 cart with `BFCM20`: 20% off every item ($16 saved) and free shipping.

- $40 cart with `BFCM20`: 20% off every item ($8 saved), but shipping is charged as normal.

## Variations

- **No code needed:** choose **Automatic discount** and enter a **Title** such as `Black Friday: 20% off everything`, so every visitor gets it.

- **Spend more, save more:** add a second product discount of 30% with **Cart Subtotal** at least `150`. Each item gets the better one. See [Spend more, save more: spending tiers](https://jxngqfpxd.us.gleap.help/en/articles/29.md).

- **Different percentages per collection:** replace the 20% on **All Products** with one product discount per collection, for example 30% off Outerwear and 15% off Accessories. See [A different discount for each collection in one code](https://jxngqfpxd.us.gleap.help/en/articles/26.md).

- **Less off sale items:** give full-price items 20% and items already on sale 10%. See [20% off full price, 10% off sale items, in one code](https://jxngqfpxd.us.gleap.help/en/articles/45.md).

- **Cyber Monday or daily deals:** duplicate the discount from the OneCode home page and change the code, dates or percentage for each day.

## Good to know

- The $50 is checked before the 20% comes off. A $55 cart still gets free shipping, even though it's $44 after the discount.

- Times use your store's time zone, shown in the **Start time** label.

- Customers see the discount in the cart and at checkout, not as a reduced price on product pages. Put the code in your announcement bar, banners and emails.

- If you also give out influencer codes, decide how they work with the sale before it starts. See [An influencer code with 10% off and free shipping that works during your sale](https://jxngqfpxd.us.gleap.help/en/articles/44.md).
